Spring Classes
Each year I am reminded of spring’s approach when I hear the call of the bird songs from my garden in the mornings. I’ve forgotten the merry chatty sounds through the winter months and welcome this first tale-tale sign of warmer weather. These prologues start mid-March most years but it’s not until April in Utah when Spring officially kicks off with an abundance of floral bounty; when the trees are busting with fragrant blossoms, the tulips and daffodils have made their debut, and I can look out my kitchen window to see the beehives bursting with activity. This is it. This is spring.
I find myself eagerly looking forward to hosting spring in-studio workshops; when I can bring armfuls of the season’s best materials inside to create with and share with others. During classes we explore working with textures, shapes, colors, and lines to create movement and interest in our work. Spring certainly shines in all of these categories as tree blossoms, lilac, helebore, tulips, the first flush of roses, and ranunculus marry our designs together.
A special thank you to Brushfire Photography for documenting our days immersed in spring.
