Vessel of the Month | April

Today I want to share with you a new project I will be working on this year: Vessel of the Month, where each month I will highlight a vessel that I use in my designs.

The options are limitless when it comes to choosing a vessel. Mostly, I think about how I want my design to feel; casual, classic, vintage, earthy, modern, etc. Sometimes my design can be solely derived and inspired from the vessel itself, and sometimes vessels aren’t really vessels at all until I decide they are! My hope is that you will discover new inspiration, old favorites, and have fun designing along with me throughout this series.

Last month I visited the Vintage Whites Market in Salt Lake City where I couldn’t help but fawn over all of the potential that surrounded me! Repurposed vessels bring special nostalgia to a design due to their various branding and previous life purpose. This month, I want to share with you one of my treasures from the market: My green MJB coffee can. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll have noticed I’ve been using a few old cans lately. I’m dying to find the perfect wedding to whip these little guys out for! You can save your own, buy from your local thrift store, garage/estate sales, and antique stores.

Erin Kate Photography has captured these images beautifully and can’t thank her enough for her talent and styling.
