Vessel of the Month | October

I love using urn planters in late summer and fall as they provide a sturdy and visually equal weighted base for those heavy fruiting branches. You can find urn planters just about anywhere- from garden and home good stores, to second-hand and vintage shops. If your urn was meant to be a planter rather than a vase, simply line the bottom with plastic or use a smaller, watertight container that will fit within the urn.

Erin Kate Photography captures this foraged statement piece beautifully with her pure, naturalistic style.
